I don't know how it is for other families, but in my family, everyone spent time together. So when i was first left alone with my uncle, i think i was about 6, it didn't phase me at all.
We were in his house, my cousins room. He came in to say "goodnight"and climbed into bed beside me.
He always did that, so it didn't seem strange or unusual. He always held my hand when noone was looking or held me as i fell asleep. But i didn't think this was wrong. Why would he hurt me?! He was only being nice. After all i had never liked being by myself.
It started to happen more frequently and i started to find myself feeling uncomfortable. He started to do things that i was sure if he was meant to be doing. Which i only realised when he started using phrases like "Let's not tell anyone, they wouldn't be interested" and "Nobody needs to know."
